I am a Jamaican badminton player and past student-athlete whose journey has been shaped by discipline, ambition, and a deep love for sport and education. My path began in Jamaica, where I balanced competitive badminton with my academic development, as both an athlete and scholar.

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of the West Indies, where I earned a degree in Political Science, while continuing to represent myself through sport and academic excellence. My dedication both on and off the court opened doors for me to pursue higher education in the United Kingdom, where I was awarded the Commonwealth Games Legacy Scholarship that supported my progression to study at the University of Birmingham and attained a Master of Science in International Relations.

As a student-athlete, I’ve lived the reality of balancing elite sport with demanding academic environments, learning resilience, focus, and adaptability at every stage. My journey reflects not only sporting commitment but also a passion for understanding the world through politics, international systems, and human connection.

Today, I am proud to be a husband to my beautiful wife Lavina Evans and a father, embracing both family life and the values that sport and education have instilled in me; discipline, growth, and purpose.

My story is one of transition and transformation: from Jamaica to the UK, from athlete to academic, and from student to family man. I am always striving to grow, inspire, and represent where I come from, and what better way to do that than through the lens of my camera. I have now chosen to take up photography as a way of capturing meaningful, beautiful moments by telling real stories through light, emotion, and connection.
